Epic Posting Alert!!!! Opulence & Vibrancy for Jess & Andy's Magical Family Wedding Day at Thornton Manor

So where to start?? Jessica and her super cool family hold a very special place in our hearts, we've created flowers for all of their special occasions for many, many years and we absolutely adore them. Jessica is also a Make up Artist and we have the great pleasure of working with her on lots of weddings, needless to say the make up on the day was exquisite.
~
So the wedding flower plans have been a closely guarded secret, we have the wedding of Jess's cousin Ben to Laura in a couple of weeks and Emma (Jess's sister) marries Tom next year, the brief I was given was complex but number one on the list was to make sure it was completely different from any wedding I'd done for the family before and totally different from those weddings to come...
~
Jessica & Andy put together this stunning mood board to help guide and inspire our team, the colours were to be rich and vibrant, Coral Peonies were the signature flower, foliage was to be kept to a minimum.
A few weeks ago we headed off to Thornton Manor a splendid country house in Cheshire to meet up with Jessica, baby Claudia and the two Mum's Dulcie & Paula, we walked through the venue as it would be on the day and planned for a contingency should the weather not be on our side, so glad we did that!!!! xx
~
We met up again back at FD HQ to create a set of sample designs, this time with just Jess & Andy, the flowers were going to be a surprise for everyone else. I loved making this sample bridal bouquet, I'd included a collection Coral, Burgundy, Cerise and Red Peonies with Piano & Juliet Roses, Dahlias, Skimmia and Sweet Peas, it looked glorious and was sweet scented too
We created a full set of table design suggestions all in varying heights with collections of golden vases and votives, Jessica & Andy decided to have some of each which helped to create rhythm and texture in the room

The big day finally arrived and Jason & I headed to the Bridal cottage at Thornton Manor for the big reveal, the Bridesmaids were assembled and the pressure was on!!!
 Phew!! that went well!!xxx
The colours and flowers were just so 'jewel like'

We arrived at the magnificent Thornton Manor in plenty of time to dress it for wedding time
Inside the entrance hall we'd dressed the marble table with an opulent design just enough to provide a flavour of what was to come

The golden glass pineapple vase was filled with Peonies, Stocks, Celosia, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Piano Roses with Amaranthus and Passion Flower

The ceremony was in the magnificent 'Music Room' one of my all time favourite spaces for a wedding service. Huge pedestals framed the ceremony exquisitely
Fresh flowers and foliages were elegantly cascading from the organ balcony
A ravishing and opulent design of luscious Peonies, Roses and Phalaenopsis Orchids with two golden Baroque Candelabras decorated the Registrars table and a sprinkling of fresh Rose Petals on the floor would perfume the air perfectly for our Bride and Groom

I lined up the Boutonnieres each one was unique and individual ready to attach them to Groom and his party when they arrived
The Bride Groom's rather special Boutonniere featured Piano Roses with Rolled Petals, Sweet William and Skimmia to match his Bride's Bouquet and his rather lovely Hermes pocket square

The Corsages and Wrist Corsages too were all ready to be matched to their owners, Groom's Mum's all ivory epaulette corsage of Wax Flower, Snowflake Rose buds and Sweet Peas
Grandma Barbara's wrist corsage designed to match her ensemble perfectly
Anne Marie's Wrist Corsage was created in soft muted tones with hints of nude and palest green shades

Jessica's super handsome Bride Groom Andy was first to have his rather special boutonniere pinned to his lapel

Jason & I pinned on everyone's boutonniere's ensuring each one was positioned perfectly
