Rich Merlot & Champagne Shades for Sheryl & Craig's Big Day at Bartle Hall

This Wedding has been such a joy to work on, Sheryl & I met once ages ago and have enjoyed many Skype appointments since, Sheryl & Craig live in Australia and planning a long distance wedding isn't for the faint hearted, you do have to be seriously organised, which thankfully Sheryl very much is,  she also had the very best of suppliers on board too!!! I had the great pleasure of working with some seriously inspirational folks including the amazing Charlotte Boothman from +LottieDesigns.com, Dawn from Creative Cover Hire, Joe from Specialised Cakes and the brilliant C&B team from Bartle Hall, what more could you ask for!!!
~
I wanted to include a plethora of English and Australian materials in these beautiful bridal bouquets, whilst remaining true to Sheryl's colour palette and the images of designs she'd found on line and loved, the interesting thing for me as a designer was using flowers and foliages from totally opposing Seasons we had early Summer Peonies from Australia along with Eucalyptus pods and spring foliages and then from this side of the world full on Autumnal materials such as English Dahlias,  Classic Hydrangeas, Anemones, Amaryllis and Skimmia, amongst Sheryl's favourites were the "Black Cherry" Micro Carnations, silver Senecio foliages and the beautifully fragrant and lacey Lily of the Valley which  provided a whisper of ivory to complete the look
The Bridesmaids Posies predominated more with the Champagne & Ivory shades, I used Vendella & Grand Amour Roses with Snowberry and lots of Merlot shades too

The Ceremony was to be held in The Windsor Suite at the fabulous Bartle Hall
The Windsor Suite is a long narrow room perfect for a good long walk up the aisle for our Bride to show off her fabulous gown
The aisle was lined by our FD Events candlelit Hurricane lamps and fresh fragrant Rose petals

Behind the Registrars table we placed two of our spectacularly opulent Baroque Candelabras on tall pedestal stands, I positioned them in such a way as to frame our Bride & Groom when they came to sign the Register
On the Registrars table a lovely candlelit traditional design with a sprinkling of fresh Rose petals on the floor in front for our Bride & Groom to stand on
On either side of the Registrars table two more Candelabras framed the scene elegantly
There are two fireplaces in the Windsor Suite both of which were treated to posies of fresh flowers and candlelit votives

The Bride Groom's rather special Boutonniere of a "Grand Amour" Rose with sweet scented Lily of the Valley, a Rolled Vendella Rose Petal with Berries and Classic Hydrangea florets
We bound the stem of the Groom's boutonniere with Champagne shoelace Ribbon and finished off with a simple bow
The Groom's Mum's Corsage featuring Harlequin Hydrangea, Purple Symphony Spray Roses and Purple Lissianthus, with Lily of the Valley and Champagne Grass
The Bride's Mum's Corsage of Snowflake Rose Buds with Wax Flower Blossom, Albiflora Brunia and Lily of the Valley with Thalaspi and Ivy
The Groom's Auntie Patricia's delicate Corsage of rolled Faith Rose Petals, Astrantia and Hydrangea florets
The Groom's Men's Boutonnieres were these lovely Grand Champagne Roses with Gracia Creme Rose Buds and a touch of Australian Eucalyptus

The seriously glamorous Grandma was presented with a lovely Rose Boutonniere
A lovely arrangement on the Reception desk to welcome guests as they arrived
I pinned on all of the Boutonnieres (Though I really did need ladders)

Our super handsome Bride Groom Craig complete with his rather special boutonniere

In The Windsor Suite the Registrars had arrived...

Sheryl's beautiful Mum looked perfect and her ivory corsage complimented her ensemble
The lovely Bridesmaids were both wearing Merlot coloured gowns, their bouquets were the perfect accessory

Beautiful Burgundy gowns complimented by Bridal Bouquets of Champagne Roses, Burgundy Amaryllis, Anemones, Senecio, Poppy Seed Heads, Snowberry and Lily of the Valley
Our beautiful Bride the lovely Sheryl was utterly breathtaking, her gown twinkled in the Autumn sunshine and her merlot bouquet  of Peonies, Roses, Anemones, Calla Lilies, Dahlias and Lily of the Valley looked divine

This exquisite Bridal Bouquet in shades of Burgundy with a touch of Ivory looked perfect on this bright Autumn afternoon

Huge Congratulations to Sheryl & Craig from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

The fabulous Charlotte Boothman was capturing all of the magic, we really can't wait to see her images

As our Bride & Groom and all of their guests enjoyed the beautiful weather and the fizz we transferred the designs from The Windsor Suite to The Balmoral Suite where the wedding breakfast was to be served
Beautifully autumnal designs graced the dining tables; A Hurricane Lamp surrounded by a wreath of luscious seasonal blooms, herbs and foliages, strings of pearls were woven through the design to complete the opulent look

The magnificent Baroque Candelabras looked equally as magical in their new home, dripping with strings of pearls and elegant blooms

The Fabulous Wedding cake was created by the brilliant Joe & Janine Hargreaves from Specialized Cakes in Burnley

The Seating Plan was created using Sheryl's Grandad's vintage Suitcase

Dawn from Creative Cover Hire was busy putting the finishing touches to the room

Our work here was done it was time to head for home, huge thanks to Sheryl & Craig for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers!!!!
