A Perfect Wedding Day in "Nude & Ivory" Shades for Laura & Christopher at St Michael's & The Inn at Whitewell

Whitewell really is one of the most perfect venues for a wedding and this particular wedding is as near perfect as you can get!

The setting is probably the most stunning in England, I remember years and years ago when our daughters were tiny we used to come here for picnics and to do some water colour painting (I tied it in with either delivering or clearing down weddings and they both thought they were on holiday!) our daughters are now grown up and as a family we still get very excited about working here, it's a place that you can always rely on to be beautiful no matter what the weather is doing!!!
~
So as many of you regular readers will know I make no apology for the huge number of pictures on any posting, the flowers were luscious and stunning in equal measure, the entire Flower Design Events team were inspired by the colours, the utterly gorgeous Bride & Groom, the stunning Bridesmaids and of course the prospect of our work being displayed in this spectacular setting, I hope you'll enjoy.......

The quaint and beautiful Church, St Michael's at Whitewell is a flower designers dream, every part of it is just lovely, I aim always is to be sympathetic to it's simplicity whilst creating a celebratory backdrop perfect for the Wedding Service.
Here we'd dressed the entrances  and Lytch Gate with Lanterns and garlands of heavenly blooms including Peonies, Roses, Dill, Spirea and Hydrangeas

The candle lit lanterns hanging from the Lytch gate create atmosphere as well as the added benefit of keeping Bees & Wasps to a minimum
White wicker hearts hung from the gate, door knocker and Bay Trees

The pathway was lined with our be-ribboned lanterns hanging from hooks amongst a scattering of fragant Rose Petals (I did make a promise to the lovely Elsie of St Michael's to rake up my Rose Petals before breakfast the following morning)

The arch over the front door leading into Church was swathed in an archway of Roses and Hydrangeas
Fragrant Bay Trees and lanterns framed the door way into Church

The benches on either side of the porch way were occupied by delicate posies of fresh fragrant blooms and candle lit Birdcages, creating a warm welcome to the congregation

Porch Posies of wild flowers; Love in the Mist, Sweet Peas, Stocks, Dill, Astilbe and Roses

Inside Church we'd arranged two magnificent pedestals in the stone urns and stands already in St Michaels, the aisle was dressed with posies & wicker hearts on the end of the pews
The Pew end posies include  White Peonies, Stocks, Nude Roses and trailing Amaranthus

The Church Pedestals were quite simply magnificent with towering Delphiniums, statuesque Gladioli & Molucella, Hydrangeas, Roses, fragrant Stocks and exquisite Phalaenopsis Orchids
I love this Rose "Quick Sand" it is completely perfect

The windowsills in St Michael's are deep and spacious ideal for lanterns and posies, the country garden flowers are bathed in morning sunshine, heavenly!!!!!

A beautiful lapel corsage of Rolled Rose Petals and Rose Buds
A Quick Sand Rose Boutonniere
Phalaenopsis Orchid Wrist Corsage for the Groom's Mum

The Bridal Bouquets were delivered up to the Bridal suite
And then we went off to meet our super handsome Bride Groom Christopher to pin on his beautifully elegant White Rose Boutonniere
The Groom's Men & Ladies were all wearing Quick Sand Boutonnieres

The breathtaking bridal party headed over to the Church from The Inn next door

The Bride's Mum carried a handbag we'd dressed with fresh Orchids and Rolled Rose Petals
The seriously adorable Page Boy wearing a miniature version of the Groom's Boutonniere
Laura's wedding bouquet of White Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas & Lily of the Valley

Laura looked so beautiful

The Bridesmaid's were wearing "Nude" coloured gowns, their bouquets matched perfectly, I used a combination of Bombastic, Quick Sand and Norma Jean Roses to create the nude effect

The professional photographers for the day were the brilliant photography duo "Abigail & Eye" it's always such a joy to work with them!

Huge Congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Oliver from the entire Flower Design Events Team

The lovely Leanne & Nick, we created the flowers for their wedding back in 2010 link

The celebrations then moved next door to the fabulous Inn at Whitewell where the adjoining marquee had been dressed to perfection
We moved the pedestal designs from Church into the Marquee where they framed the Top Table
This particular marquee looks best with tall elegant table centrepieces down the centre line and low designs along each side where the ceiling drapes are at their lowest

The lower designs were created on our lovely crystal cake stands, a collection of white Peonies, Sweet Peas, Roses, Stocks, Sweet William, Orchids and Dill were arranged in a voluptuous "Bosom" style

The Tall elegant designs were created on top of our elegant crystal candlesticks creating a virtually transparent pedestal on which to display our delicate fountains of Phalaenopsis Orchids, Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas, Thalaspi, Sperengerii, Hostas and Champagne Grasses

Outside on the Marquee terrace the wall overlooking the river was lined with lanterns and posies
The outdoor tables were decorated with Birdcage Lanterns

The fragrant Bay Trees flanked the marquee doors leading to the balcony overlooking the river
We used the Pew End Posies & Hearts to dress the balcony

At the base of each of the tall Crystal Candlestick designs tiny glass vases dressed with lace Ribbons and Diamante hearts containing elegant simple blooms mirroring the ones above

The Delicious Canapes were being enjoyed by all of the guests

Huge & Ginormous thanks to Laura & Chris from all of the team here at Flower Design Events for choosing us to create the flowers for their divine wedding!!!!xxxxx
